Sixth Grade Homeschool Schedule

Sixth grade homeschool schedule

Here is the homeschool schedule for my sixth grader. He can work more independently now that he is in middle school which allows more flexibility in his schedule.

6:00 He is up and ready by 6 a.m. and has started his quiet time.

7:00 Breakfast, chores, then time to ride bikes or play outside if he finishes chores quickly.

8:00-9:00 math

9:00-10:50 History, literature, writing, speech (The amount of time needed for this varies from day to day. My kids know which assignments are due when, and I encourage them to use their time wisely. They will be making their own schedules in high school, and I allow them to practice now. If he is ahead in school, he can go ahead and complete science and Spanish.)

10:50-11:10 Apologetics

11:10-11:25 spelling

11:25-12:00 science

12:00 lunch and break

1:00-2:00 family circle time (You can read more about this in my new book, Training Them Wisely - discipling kids.)

2:00-2:20 Spanish

2:20-4:00 He is free to do anything educational or play outside. He can read, do art, practice typing, practice the violin and piano, perform science experiments, and photography classes, and finish any work that needs to be completed for the day.
