Our Beliefs
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Bible is without error in the original writings. The Bible is from God and therefore gives the final authority on right and wrong, faith, salvation, and our lives.
God
We believe there is one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three Persons are one God who has always been with the same attributes. God is perfect, unchanging, and faithful. We believe everything that the Scripture says about Him.
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus is God, has always been, and will always be. He came to earth as a baby through the Virgin Mary. He was fully God and fully man and lived a perfect life. He chose to die on the cross as a one-time payment for the sins of everyone throughout time. He physically rose from the dead. This was witnessed by many. He continues to be involved in our lives through prayer while He is in heaven at the right hand of God. He will return to earth again.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God. He convicts men of sin, seals, indwells, teaches, and helps believers live a holy life.
Mankind
We believe that Adam and Eve were created and were without sin. God saw His creation and said it was "very good." However, Adam disobeyed God's command and sin entered the world. Now all men sin. Sin is anything we do that God does not want us to do or anything that we don't do that God wants us to do. All sin deserves punishment. All people need to be redeemed from their sins, and the only way we can be redeemed is through Jesus.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a free gift from God. There is no way that we can earn our way to heaven. Salvation involves repentance. Repentance means that we realize that we have sinned and turn from following our ways to following God's way. We are saved through faith in Jesus alone. When He is our Lord and Savior, we allow Him to be in charge of our lives. Salvation is manifested by a changed life where we live for Him. There are fruits shown in salvation. These fruits do not cause salvation, but rather they indicate that we are growing in our faith and are being sanctified.
